The acclaimed Romanian pianist Madalina Rusu has been a regular visitor to Dorset.  She studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and has established a busy career as a recitalist and concerto soloist throughout Britain and abroad, including appearances at major London venues.

Sonja Grossner - Sonata Appassionato

Frantisek Brikcius, winner of the Anglo-Czech Competition in London in 1999, is one of the leading Czech cellists of the present day.  We are delighted to welcome him to Weymouth for a recital as part of his UK tour.  The programme will include classics of the cello and piano repertoire and the Grossner Sonata Appassionato which was premiered by Duncan Honeybourne with cellist Sharon McKinley in Birmingham Cathedral in 1999.

Duncan Honeybourne, Founder and Artistic Director of the Weymouth Lunchtime Chamber Concerts, gives his annual piano recital in memory of his father and to benefit the Melcombe Day Hospital, which provides a lifeline to patients with dementia and other conditions, and their families, in South Dorset.

A welcome return from the Wessex Piano Quartet, well known to Weymouth audiences. Following their performance last year of the Brahms C minor Piano Quartet, this recital will include the G minor Quartet.
